Yield

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  Romans 6:13

Spirit of Truth

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  John 16:13

Lowly

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  1 Corinthians 1:26-27

For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.  Zechariah 8:12

The Ark

How many of each species did Moses take on the ark with him?

Answer:
None. Moses wasn't on the ark, Noah was.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.  Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.  Genesis 5:7-9

Little Cake

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.  1 Kings 17:13-14

The Wind

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.  John 3:8

Humility

Jasper Silas Neal ©2015

Those who walk before God in humility are:
Weak enough to lean upon His strength.
Small enough to look upon His greatness.
Patient enough to wait upon His timing.
Empty enough to draw upon His fullness.
Poor enough to depend upon His riches.
Needy enough to count upon His grace.
Grateful enough to live upon His love.

The Knots Prayer

Dear God,

Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart and my life.

Remove the have nots, the can nots and the do nots that I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots, would nots and should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all, Dear God, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart and my life all of the 'am nots' that I have allowed to hold me back, especially the thought that I am not good enough. Amen.

America The Beautiful

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain.  For purple mountain majesties, Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed His grace on thee. And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern impassioned stress. A thoroughfare for freedom beat; Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw. Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved, In liberating strife. Who more than self their country loved, And mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine. Till all success be nobleness, And every gain divine!

O Beautiful for patriot dream, That sees beyond the years. Thine alabaster cities gleam, Undimmed by human tears! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!

Fingers Crossed

What gets broken without being held?

Answer:
A Promise.
